Welcome to First Lutheran Church of the Reformation!

Our vision is: First in outreach to youth and families, first with in-reach for opportunities in worship and weekday life empowering programs first by reaching out to new members of our community.

First Lutheran Church of the Reformation is a member church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). As Lutherans, we confess: By grace alone, in faith in Christ’s saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping and calling us to good works. We believe in God the Creator, Jesus as the incarnate son of God, and the continuing work of God through the Holy Spirit.

Our Organ

The human voice is the primary instrument of Christian praise and worship. The pipe organ uses breath just like the voice, hence it is the ideal accompanying instrument for congregational singing. We are the stewards of a wonderful instrument that turns 40 years old in 2008, and is in showroom condition. The organ is used at every service throughout the year. It is is maintained by A. Thompson-Allen Co., curators of organs at Yale University, and has been played by many concert artists during its lifetime. You can see the organ up close any Sunday, or at other times by arrangement with Bill Hively. Bill offers lessons on the instrument.
