Since 2006, FLCR has entered a team each May at New Britain’s premier event raising money for Breast cancer prevention research. The “Race in the Park” is a 5 K race/walk which begins and ends in Walnut Hill Park. The race occurs on the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend.

To honor breast cancer survivors, FLCR will be again participating in the race, which this year is scheduled for Saturday May 9th 2009. All are welcome to participate either as runner or walkers. Church members are invited to Pastors house afterwards for a shindig
FLCR will be fielding a competitive men’s team this year. If interested, contact Dave Keating.

In preparation for this, we will start meeting in Walnut Hill Park at 6:15 on Wednesday mornings, and do runs over hill & dale. Send Dave an email & he will provide more details
