Welcome one another, then, as Christ has welcomed you (Romans 15:7)

MuralAt First Lutheran, we welcome all sorts of people in various stages of their spiritual journey. The question is, what do you seek? Are you:

Whatever the situation, we'd like to get to know you. You should know, however, that we take baptism and membership seriously. Our process is like being born in the first place-it doesn't happen all at once, but over time, and with different stages of development.

We invite you into a process called The Road of Emmaus (see the Gospel of Luke, chapter 24). From our initial welcome when you visit, we invite you to join a faith-sharing group along with a sponsor assigned to you. When you are ready to make a commitment, you are instructed in the basics of faith and life in this church. We invite new members to join by baptism (date determined with Pastor) or affirmation of baptism, occuring several times each year, the most important of this being the Easter Vigil every spring. Other times are Holy Trinity (usually late May or early June); All Saints (beginning of November) and the Baptism of Our Lord (in January).

Come and visit! The process begins then! Or send a note to us via our contact page.
